| The 65th Annual Interclub Race among the ski clubs making up the Metropolitan New York Ski Council took place at Magic Mountain on January 22, 2000 in extremely cold weather. Our Main Event participants were our alpine chairman Klas Holm, Einar Ulfsson, Hans Tuneblom and prospective member Kristinn Gretarsson. The Intermediate Event participants were Matt Connery, Christine Holm, Skip Morgan, Cindy Shaw-Tuneblom, Margareta and Mikael Ugander. Our only junior competitor was Johan Ugander. So, how did we do??? In the main event we came in second after German Ski Club and before New York and Grumman Ski Clubs. Wow! In the intermediate event we came in seventh place among the eleven participating clubs. Our successful participants' results: Main Event Category: Veteran Men: Klas Holm came in second! Intermediate Event Category: Elite Women: Margareta Ugander came in first! Women: Cindy Shaw-Tuneblom came in second! Youth Boys: Johan Ugander came in fourth! The Husband and Wife competition was cancelled due to the very cold weather. Congratulations to our successful racers.
